Anglophile that I am, I believe it’s time for a round-up of that bold symbol of British, ahem UK, patriotism, the Union Jack. A little history – the flag incorporates the red cross of Saint George, England’s patron saint, the cross of Saint Andrew, patron saint of Scotland (white on blue background), and the cross of Saint Patrick (red on white background), patron saint of Ireland, of course.

A few new takes on the Union Jack have spurred a design trend that includes art, throw pillows, and wall hangings among other things.
